Deon Stewardson (19**-2017). Actor.

He was the son of actors Joe Stewardson and Diane Appleby.

He settled in the Karoo town of Aberdeen almost by accident in 2005, when he and his girlfriend at the time were on a road trip through small country towns. He fell in love with the unusual old house in Murray Street near the Dutch Reformed Church and bought it, to become a well-known local personality. He lived there with his partner, Marianne Meijer, until 2017, running a backpackers establishment. He died in Graaff-Reinet on 27 Oktober 2017.

Performed in A Community of Two, Kennedy's Children, Cause Célèbre (for Toerien/Firth), Hardy Folk (with the Young Market Company), Die Van Aardes van Grootoor (at the Market Theatre), Info Scandels, Working Class Hero Bye Bye Blues & Hello Howzit, Wie in Glashuise Woon, The Merchant of Venice, The School for Scandal, Oh What a Lovely War! (PACT 1980), Softer than Rock (1990), King Lear (as the Earl of Gloucester, 1998).

He played a lead role in a popular British television series Wild at Heart in the late 1990s.

He has appeared in advertisements made for the overseas market.
