Deidre Venter (19*-) is an actress and playwright.

Her name sometimes found as Deirdre Venter.

Biography

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

Stage

She performed in two stage productions of Chris Barnard's radio play Nagspel (adapted and directed by Peet van Rensburg for Noordwes Produksies, in collaboration with DALRO. Performances at the KKNK festival in 1997 and at the Aardklop festivalin 2000.

She wrote the play Verwagtings and had a role in a production of the play when performed at the KKNK in 2007. Venter was nominated for the Slurpie-award for best emerging artist for her text.

TV

TV work includes the role of "Glenda" in Binnelanders (Season 11)
