De Offers der Vrijheid, of De Slagers van Ghent ("The offers of freedom, or the slaughterers of Ghent") is a Dutch play in six acts by Melt J. Brink (1842-1925).

Also known as De Slagers van Ghent

The original text

A play based on the 80 year's war, it was probably written in 1877 for performance by the Rederijkerskamer Aurora II.

Performance history in South Africa

1877: Performed by Aurora II in the Athenaeum Hall, Cape Town on 17 July, with De Verstrooiden (Kotzebue/Van Holtrop).
