De Kater, of De Verdronken Minnaar ("the hangover, or the drowned lover") is a local play in Dutch in 2 acts by L. van Hogezand (fl 1870s).

Referred to as a "character sketch", it was written for the Rederijkers.

Performance history in South Africa

1872: Performed in Dutch by Aurora II in 1872, probably also later in Kimberley by the Diggers' Aurora, when Hoogezand became the association's Vice President.
