David Dainow. (b. Spitalfields, London, **/**/1884 - d. Johannesburg, 31/01/1961) was a poet, short story writer and playwright.

A journalist and at one stage the editor of the Zionist Record, he wrote short stories and published an anthology of poetry entitled I see light: Poems (1951). He also wrote a one-act play, Holding Aloof (1927).
