He has appeared on stage in The Unexpected Guest (Reps, Johannesburg), The School for Scandal. The Firstborn, Journey's End, Beyond the Fringe.

He fell ill during the rehearsal period of the Johannesburg REPS production of Under Milkwood in 1959.
