Das Neue Sonntagskind is a two-act Austrian farce, described as "Ein Komisches Singspiel In Zwei Aufzügen", by Joachim Perinet, written 1794 after a work by Philipp Hafner.

Translated into Dutch as De Vreesachtige uit Vooroordeel, wegens zyne Geboorte op Zondag (1799/1800) by Gosenwijn Christiaan de Greuve of the German play Das Neue Sonntagskind, described as "Ein Komisches Singspiel In Zwei Aufzügen". (Published in Leipzig by A. Geers, 1794)
Later also translated and adapted as a musical under the title De Nachtmerrie or De Nachtmerrie of De Vampyr by G. Vreedenberg (1829/1840)[1]
