Dark Outsider is a play by Anthony Akerman. Full-length. Cast: mixed. Published by DALRO in 1991 and in Dark Outsider: Three Plays by Wits University Press in 2000.

The original text

A play about the controversial South African poet Roy Campbell, won a string of awards, including the SACPAC Playwriting Award for Best Play in 1993 and the Vita Playwright of the Year Award for 1995/96. The E.P. Herald called it "a masterful work that has earned a niche in the sparse collection of great South African theatrical endeavours".
