Danie van Eeden (1926-2003) was an SABC radio announcer and writer and later the director of the Cape Performing Arts Board (CAPAB)

Father of writer, radio broadcaster Delene van Eeden de Wet

Career

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

He worked for the SABC for 27 years as writer and announcer.

In 1976 he was appointed the first Director of the Cape Performing Arts Board (CAPAB).


Author of the article "Die Kaaplandse Raad vir die Uitvoerende Kunste (KRUIK) (1963-1981)" in The Breytie Book: A Collection of Articles on South African Theatre Dedicated to P.P.B. Breytenbach (1985).[1]
