DALK (“Maybe”) is a play by Pieter J. Swanepoel. Full-length. Cast: mixed. A play about two of life's losers.

Winner of the Amstel Pick of the Fringe Award, Grahamstown, 1988.

Nominated for the Vita Award (1990) in the categories Best Playwright and Best New SA Play, Ronel Kriel as Monique for Best Actress.

Performance history in South Africa

1988: Staged by PACT at the Grahamstown Festival, directed by Ilse van Hemert, with Henriëtta Gryffenberg as Monique.

1989: Presented by PACT, in cooperation with NAPAC and PACOFS in 1989, directed by Ilse van Hemert, with Ronel Kriel (Monique), Pieter Brand (Sebastian) and Andre Odendaal (Lenny). Staged in The Loft at the Natal Playhouse in Durban, the André Huguenet Theatre in Bloemfontein, the State Theatre in Pretoria dn the Windybrow Theatre in Johannesburg.
