She was a member of Hendrik Hanekom's first professional company, Die Afrikaanse Toneelspelers, for a while, replacing Katie Greeff as "Anna" in Oom Gawerjal se Dogters en die Stemkoors ("Uncle Gawerjal's Daughters and the Election Fever"). *
