Crime on Goat Island (Italian: Delitto all'isola delle capre) is a 1946 play by Ugo Betti (1892-1953).

Translated into English by Henry Reed [1].

Performance history in South Africa

1965: Staged in the English translation by Libertas Teaterklub in Stellenbosch in April, directed by Piet van Straaten, with Eugene Olén, Mauritz van Aarde, Cynthia Bam, Ida Troskie and Fred Stephens.

1969: Staged in the English translation by NAPAC in June, directed by Frank Shelley, at the Durban Jewish Club. Décor by Bill Smuts, costumes by Lucille Cross. The cast consisted of David Dunstone, Zoë Randall, David McKail, Anne Ridler and Shirley Maleham.

1976: Misdaad op Bokeiland, the Lee Afrikaans translation, adapted by Pieter-Paul Fourie, was staged by PACT, directed by Francois Swart, featuring Sandra Prinsloo (Agate), Louise Mollett-Prinsloo (Pia), Grethe Fox (Silvia), John Harley (Angelo) abd Jan Prinsloo (Edoardo).
