Performance history in South Africa

1973: The first South African production was staged Upstairs at the Space in Cape Town, directed and designed by Pieter-Dirk Uys with Phillip Boucher and Val de Klerk. Lighting Don Fuller and the stage manager was Bee Berman. The first performance was on Wednesday 17 January.

1974: Presented by The Company at The Village Theatre in Orange Grove, directed by Mannie Manim, with Vanessa Cooke and David Eppel. Music by John Oakley-Smith, sung by Aletta Bezuidenhout. Costumes by Sue Kiel and the stage manager was Jud Cornell.

1988: This play was the University of Pretoria's entry for the Student Drama Festival during the National Arts Festival.
