Colonel Barlow (17**- 18**) was a member of the British garrison at Cape Town and an amateur actor.

As an actor he was one of the early stalwarts of the Garrison Players and played "Puff" the auctioneer in a production of Taste (Foote) in May 1800. In her diaries Lady Anne Barnard refers to the play as "Teasle" and calls his performance "inimitable".
