Christian! is a 1979 musical with music by Nick Taylor, lyrics by Taylor and Alex Learmont and book by Nick and Birthe Taylor. It was inspired by Bunyon's Pilgrim's Progress.

The musical has the extended title: Christian! or Follow the Man with the Big Bass Drum in the Holy Glory Band! and has also been staged as Follow that Man.

Performance history in South Africa

1979: Presented by NAPAC Drama for their tenth Christmas production in the Alhambra Theatre in Durban, directed by Geoffrey Sutherland, from 15 December 1979

1980: Presented by NAPAC in February at His Majesty's Theatre, directed and choreographed by Geoffrey Sutherland starring Barry and Taylor Kent.

1986: Staged by NAPAC in The Natal Playhouse, directed and choreographed by Geoffrey Sutherland, with Mark Richardson (Christian), Judy Broderick (Christiana), Peter J. Elliott (Evangelist), Mike Huff (Appolyon) and others, including Roy Sergeant, David Brown, Mary Harrison, Jonathan Taylor, Odile Rault, Jenny de Lenta and Sandy Dyer. Assistant director was Bryan Hill and musical director was Graham Scott. Sets by Geoffrey Sutherland and costumes by Antony Bullimore.
