Christopher (Chris) Goetsch (19**- ) is a South African-born mime artist and drama movement lecturer.
He was born in Stutterheim in the Eastern Cape and obtained a BA (Hons) degree in Theatre from Rhodes University where he began training in mime and dance. In 1981 he studied mime and dance at the Martha Graham School of Contemporary Dance  in New York City. In 1982 he entered the International School of Marcel Marceau  in Paris, where he studied mime, ballet, jazz, fencing and acrobatics. He returned to South Africa to tour the company with his one-man mime show in the mid-eighties, after which he went to the USA where he completed an MA-degree in Mime Criticism at the University of Michigan and also worked as a principal member of the Theatre Milchenye mime theatre company based in New York City.
Trained at ***. In 198* appointed as lecturer in movement at the University of Stellenbosch Department of Drama. Took study leave to study and work with Marcel Marceau in 1988. This was initally extended on a temporary basis, untill he finally resigned to work in America on a permanent basis.
