Children's Theatre ( Kinderteater or Kindertoneel in Afrikaans) is normally used to refer to to all matters pertaining to theatre for children or theatre by children.

Nasionale Kinderteater
The Nasionale Kinderteater ("National childres's theatre") was founded by Johan Bernard in 1968, funded by his mother. They undertook a successful tour of the Transvaal towns with Bernard's translation of James Ambrose Brown's play Die Drie Wense ("The Three Wishes"), but then the funding was withdrawn by Mrs Bernard and the tour ended.
