by Ismael Mohamed. A play about the dilemma in the South Africa of "coloured" people who had sought to "try for white" under apartheid and the position of gay men in the white Afrikaner hinterland. Originally written in 1994 for the actress Lizz Meiring, but due to work commitments, it could not be performed at that time.

First published in Kathy Perkins (ed) Black South African Women An Anthology of Plays by Routledge in 199*.
