Chayela Rosenthal (19**-). Actress, comedienne and presenter of one-woman shows.

Biography

She was born in Lithuania. She spent time in the Kaiserwald concentration camp where she began to entertain people to console and strengthen them.

She starred on Broadway in The President's Daughter playing the title role.

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

Performed in Don't Drink the Water (in Cape Town and Johannesburg), Fiddler on the Roof.
