Chase Me Comrade by Ray Cooney. A play about a Russian ballet dancer who defects to Britain and a riot of comedy reigns as he tangles with a British naval commander, russian agents, the local constabulary and well-meaning friends. First produced in London in 1964. First performed in South Africa in 1969 by the Academy Theatre, directed by Rex Garner, starring Leslie Phillips and Diane Appleby. The venue was the Alexander Theatre.
