Charles Dickens

Charles Dickens. A one man show by the Welsh actor-playwright Emlyn Williams about Dickens’s public readings.

1954: Brought to South Africa by Brian Brooke to perform at the Wits University Great Hall in September 1954.

1981: Williams visited South Africa again, marking the 30th anniversary of Emlyn Williams as Charles Dickens, this time presented by The Company at the Market Theatre and the Baxter Theatre.
