Cedric Messina (1920-1993) was a South African born radio and television producer.

Biography

Born in Port Elizabeth, attended school in Johannesburg and joined the South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) in the 1930s. He went to London soon after World War II, where he began a career as producer of classical drama on radio, after which he joined the BBC to become an excellent television producer, notably of the BBC Shakespeare series.

He produced a television version of Try for White by Basil Warner the BBC. Broadcast on 18 April 1965 on BBC2 in a television drama anthology series called Theatre 625 [1].
