Performance history in South Africa

1868: Performed by the Lanarkshire Dramatic Club (amateur players from the 99th Regiment) in the Garrison Theatre, Cape Town, on 8 October, with An Ugly Customer (Williams).

1869: Performed by the Amateur Coloured Troupe in Cape Town (possibly as a Christy's style Minstrel piece). (See also Amateur Coloured Troupe)
