She grew up in Clocolan in the Free State.

Training
She graduated from the University of Stellenbosch Drama Department under Prof Fred Engelen and Tine Balder in the 1960's.
Career
After graduating she joined the permanent company of PACOFS.
Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance
For PACOFS she appeared in Verkiesing Sonder Politiek, Die Soldateminnaars.
