(Douglas John Cardew) (1917-1992) British comic. Born in Essex, he initially worked in rep, then moved into music hall and Gang Shows. He visited South Africa in 1969 with Jimmy Edwards and his London hit Big Bad Mouse, produced locally by Toerien–Rubin with local actress with Bess Finney.
