(17**-18**) Performer and author. A soldier with the Madras Cavalry, who performed for the Garrison Players in Cape Town. He first appeared in a charity performance of John Bull, or an Englishman's Fireside and High Life Below Stairs on 14 and 16 August 1822, intended to benefit the "Shipwrecked Sufferers" from 7 ships that had sunk during a storm (20-24 July 1822). On the occasion he wrote and read a Prologue to the piece as well as playing Roscius in John Bull.
