Cape Town Theatre Laboratory was an experimental theatre company.

Also referred to as The Lab.

Situated in Woodstock, Cape Town, it was founded in 1998, brainchild of Royston Stoffels and Warrick Grier. Venue and infrastructure for those in theatre to develop ideas into products. First steering committee: Sticks Mdidimba, Jacqui Singer, Sabata Sesiu, Christopher Weare, Fatima Dike, Esther van Ryswyk, Johan Esterhuizen, Soli Philander, Farouk Valley-Omar. Also referred to as The Lab.

Presented a season of five new South African plays in collaboration with Artscape in October - November 2000: Solomon's Pride, Gorfinkel & Son, What the Water Gave Me, The Blue Song, Going Home.
