An amateur society founded in 1947, with the aim to foster interest in musical theatre, and the works of Sir William Schwenk Gilbert and Sir Arthur Seymour Sullivan in particular. The Society has presented at least one opera or musical work to Cape Town audiences since then.

1947: The Yeomen of the Guard at the Cape Town City Hall


1997: The Yeomen of the Guard at the Baxter Theatre

2010 Annie 2011: Fiddler on the Roof at the Artscape Opera House, 2012 The Yeomen of the Guard (This production staged in celebration of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee).
