The Cape Town Fringe (or the Cape Town Fringe Festival)is a festival of Grahamstown Festival highlights.

The festival

This festival was founded in 2014 as a project-managed by the National Arts Festival. The City of Cape Town is the Host Sponsor, while Standard Bank is the Presenting Sponsor of the event.

The general aim is to allow Capetonians to view more work by South Africa's emerging and established theatre-makers.

The Fringe Fresh Awards

In 2016 they introduced the FRESH Awards to recognize outstanding creativity and stand-out performances at the Cape Town Fringe.
