Candy (Mokondeleli) Moloi (1953-2020) was an actor, radio producer and businesswoman Also known as Cecilia Mukondeleli Moloi

Born on 10 February, 1953, she was fondly referred to as "Makhadzi" by intimates, after having played the original "Vho-Makhadzi" in the SABC 2 soap opera Muvhango when it premiered in 1997. She won a South African Film and Television Award in 2006 for this role.


She starred in several other major SA TV productions, including Thola, Shakespeare in Mzansi and Death of a Queen.

She died Tuesday 28 July, 2020, at a hospital in Pretoria. Her daughter, Lerato Moloi, also featured in Muvhango as "Refilwe". She is survived by her son Tshepo Moloi, daughter Lerato Zah and two grandsons.
