Calvin Hayward (19**-) an actor and production manager.

Also known as Cal Hayward


Biography

He was born in Zambia and grew up in Kwambonambi, Kwazulu-Natal, South Africa. He studied for a BA drama at the University of KwaZulu-Natal (1990 to 1992).

He later moved to Cape Town, where he still lives , working in the stage and film industries.

Training

Graduated with a BA from the University of Natal.

Career

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

As a stage actor Calvin has appeared in plays such as Burning Blue (1996), In Praise of Love (1995), Faces in the Wall (1994) and The Story of an African Farm (1993/4?).

He later moved into film production, to work on a number of projects, including Escape Room[1] (2019, production manager), The Brothers Grimsby[2] (2016 - production supervisor) and the South African phenomenon Jerusalema - South African Film Industry[3] (2020 - co-author, co-director and performer).
