Performance history in South Africa

First performed in South Africa in English by Ruth Oppenheim’s company at the Windmill Theatre in 1955?* with Stanley Coghan.

Produced in 1955 by Mavis Taylor for the University of Cape Town Dramatic Society at the Little Theatre, Cape Town, opening 22 June 1955. Costumes designed by Mavis Taylor, music arranged by Gunther Pulvermacher, lighting by Clifford Taylor.
