Burgert A. Senekal is a lecturer researcher in literature, with interests in estrangement, information technology and complex networks. Also known as Burgert Senekal.


Biography

Born Burgert Adriaan Senekal in Bloemfontein, he had his schooling at Sentraal High, completing his matriculation in 1998, then completed a B.A. degree in English and Afrikaans the University of the Free State (2002).

In this period he also established and ran his own jewellery and accessory business (1995-2004).

He now completed an MA degree in Afrikaans and Dutch Literature (2005), before going abroad to work and study in England for three years (2005 – 2007), obtaining the Cambridge Certificate in English Language Teaching for Adults (CELTA), from Saxoncourt Teacher Training, London (2006) while working as a retail operative for Primark, Romford, United Kingdom.
