Translated into Afrikaans by [[Jan Rabie]] and produced by [[NTO]] in its [[NTO Kamertoneel]] in 1959, directed by [[Tone Brulin]]. In 199* Claus visited South Africa, at the invitation of the University of Stellenbosch and the Flemish Festival – on which occasion the Drama Department at Stellenbosch produced the play with students, directed by [[Johan Esterhuizen]].
