Performance history in South Africa

1984: Staged by PACT in the Arena Theatre in July, directed by Dawie Malan, featuring George Ballot (Koot), Frans Kalp (Willem), Louis van Niekerk (Ben), James Borthwick (Jan) and Louis Minnaar (Sersant de Bruin).

1988: First performance at the Baxter Studio on 5 May. Directed by Gerrit Schoonhoven, design by Brian Collins, lighting by Jason de Smidt. The cast: Ernst Eloff (Ben), Francois Viljoen (Jan), Gys de Villiers (Koot), Bruce Fields (Willem), Nico de Beer (Sersant de Bruin).
