He directed  Alan Aykbourn's trilogy, ''[[The Norman Conquests]]'', separately titled ''[[Table Manners]]'', ''[[Living Together]]'' and ''[[Round and Round the Garden]]'', for the [[Baxter Company '79]]  the [[Baxter Theatre]] in 1979, starring [[Bill Flynn]], [[Jana Cilliers]], [[Sandra Duncan]], [[Dorothy-Ann Gould]], [[Eckard Rabe]] and [[John Lesley]]. The Baxter production was then presented with the same cast at [[His Majesty's Theatre]], Johannesburg by [[Brickhill-Burke]].

Biography

Born Stockport, Cheshire and died in Exeter, Devon, aged 69.

Began his stage career with the Old Vic and appeared in a number of stage productions and films in England, but most frequently appeared on television.

As a writer he wrote several plays, and was heavily involved in the BBC serial Churchill's People in the 1970s.

Contribution to South African Theatre, Film, media and Performance

He directed Alan Aykbourn's trilogy, The Norman Conquests for the Baxter Company '79 at the Baxter Theatre in 1979.


Awards
