Brendan Grealy. (196*-) Actor, musician and performer.

Biography

Youth

Born and raised in Bloemfontein.

Training

Trained as a circus performer.


Career

Worked for Nicholas Ellenbogen’s Loft Theatre Company and Theatre for Africa.

He is the co-founder of Jumping Dust Productions.

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

Roles in Scribble, Elephant of Africa, Heel Against the Head, Barnum, She Stoops to Conquer, Fire From Heaven.

Tv Snitch, film White Lion.

Awards, etc

He won a DALRO Award in Gone by the Wind (best performance in a Musical), 1993.

He was nominated for a Vita Award (Gauteng region, 2001), Best performance by an actor in musical theatre for Scribble.
