Brendan Butler (19**-) is a South African stage, actor and playwright.

Not to be confused with the American or Irish film directors, both also known as Brendan Butler, or the South African winemaker by the same name.

Biography

Contribution to South African theatre, film, media and performance

Wrote Rehearsal in Progress which won the Amstel Playwright of the Year[1] Special Merit Award, 1983. The play would provide the initial seeds for the Barney Simon workshop production of Black Dog, and particularly the character "Raymond" in it.
