Published in Mooi Street and Other Moves, 1994.

Performance history in South Africa

1986: The original production was created for the Loft Theatre Company by Paul Slabolepszy, opening 12 November in the Loft Theatre (Natal Playhouse) under the author's direction, starring Greg Melvill-Smith (Spider), Judy Broderick (Jessica), Christopher Wells (Coxie), Simon Heale (Allie) and Annie Harvey (Myrtle).

1987: Directed by Bobby Heaney for PACT Drama, opening at the Windybrow Theatre in May and subsequently at the State Theatre, Pretoria and the Baxter Theatre, Cape Town. The cast: Stephen Jennings as Spider, Susan Danford as Jessica, Bruce Alexander as Coxie, Glenn Swart as Allister and Anna-Mart van der Merwe as Myrtle.

Translations and adaptations

Translated into Afrikaans by André van der Merwe: Boe vir die Maan. Shorter version: Te Hel met die Maan (“To Hell with the Moon”) by Johannie Gerber.
