Danish-born Bodil Brink came to South Africa with her family when her engineer father was employed in Sasolburg at a time when the town was just being developed.  She was educated at Roedean School in Johannesburg and her first experience in the theatre was as an assistant stage manager with the [[Intimate Theatre]] in Durban.  In 1956 she had a small role in the [[Arena Theatre Company]]’s production of ''[[The Lady's not for Burning]]'' and the following year she played Anne Frank in [[Minna Schneier]]’s production of ''[[The Diary of Anne Frank]]'' for the [[Johannesburg Reps]].  Early in 1958 she left South Africa to continue her acting career in her native Denmark.

Bodil Brink (b. 02/03/1936) was an actress.

Biography

Danish-born Bodil Brink came to South Africa with her family when her engineer father was employed in Sasolburg at a time when the town was just being developed. She was educated at Roedean School in Johannesburg and her first experience in the theatre was as an assistant stage manager with the Intimate Theatre in Durban. In 1956 she had a small role in the Arena Theatre Company’s production of The Lady's not for Burning and the following year she played Anne Frank in Minna Schneier’s production of The Diary of Anne Frank for the Johannesburg Reps. Early in 1958 she left South Africa to continue her acting career in her native Denmark.
