Was with CAPAB in 1976 and PACT English drama 1977-1980. Awarded the 1980 Breytenbach Epathlon for Best Director for The Indian Wants the Bronx. (was also nominated in 1981 and 1982.) Won the 1983 Flu de Cap Award for Best Director. Had an Artes Nomination for Best Actor for playing "Bitos" in Poor Bitos.
