Bitter Einde ("Bitter End") by Tom Weber, set in the Anglo-Boer War, about a family whose house on their farm has been burnt down. Produced by JAATS in 1955, directed by Anna Neethling-Pohl. The cast: Helen Faul, Gert van den Bergh, Jan Bruyns, Pieter Hauptfleisch, Daan Retief, San de Lange, Ampie Muller.

Performed by NTO in 1956-7, playing for 104 performances. Directed by Anna Neethling-Pohl. The cast: Eghard van der Hoven, Pieter Geldenhuys (later replaced by Siegfried Mynhardt), Elsa Fouché, Tilana Hanekom, Jannie Gildenhuys, Gerrit Wessels, Cobus Rossouw, Derek Swanepoel, Piet Bezuidenhout, Jaco van der Westhuizen, Francois van Wyk.
