Bitter Einde ("Bitter End") is a full length play by Tom Weber.


The original text

Set in the Anglo-Boer War, about a family whose house on their farm has been burnt down. Published by Afr. Pers-Boekhandel, 1958.

1955: Produced by JAATS, directed by Anna Neethling-Pohl with Helen Faul, Gert van den Bergh, Jan Bruyns, Pieter Hauptfleisch, Daan Retief, San de Lange, Ampie Muller.

1956-7: Performed by NTO for 104 performances. Directed by Anna Neethling-Pohl with Eghard van der Hoven, Pieter Geldenhuys (later replaced by Siegfried Mynhardt), Elsa Fouché, Tilana Hanekom, Jannie Gildenhuys, Gerrit Wessels, Cobus Rossouw, Derek Swanepoel, Piet Bezuidenhout, Jaco van der Westhuizen, Francois van Wyk.
