Bitter Einde ("Bitter End") by Tom Weber, set in the Anglo-Boer War, about a family whose house on their farm has been burnt down. Produced by JAATS in 1955, directed by Anna Neethling-Pohl. The cast: Helen Faul, Gert van den Bergh, Jan Bruyns, Pieter Hauptfleisch, Daan Retief, San de Lange, Ampie Muller. Performed by NTO in 1956-7, playing for 104 performances.
