Bitter Einde ("Bitter End") is a full length Afrikaans play by Tom Weber.


The original text

A drama about the last months of the Anglo-Boer War, telling about a family whose farmhouse had been burnt down. Published by Afrikaanse Pers-Boekhandel, 1956 and 1958.

Directed by Anna Neethling-Pohl with Eghard van der Hoven, Pieter Geldenhuys (later replaced by Siegfried Mynhardt), Elsa Fouché, Tilana Hanekom, Jannie Gildenhuys, Gerrit Wessels, Cobus Rossouw, Derek Swanepoel, Piet Bezuidenhout, Jaco van der Westhuizen, Francois van Wyk. After the initial tour Jannie Gildenhuys took over as director.
