(197*-) Actress. Daughter of [[Rob Amato]]. She was born and raised in South Africa, where she trained at the [[University of Cape Town]]’s Drama school, graduating with distinction (1994). She was awarded the Cum Laude prize for Best Student of Dramatic Art. She then went on to work in theatre (landing two national awards – the [[Vita Award]] and the [[Fleur du Cap Award]] - for her performances in ''[[Greek]]'' and ''[[Under Milk Wood]]'') as well as television in South Africa, culminating in playing the lead in South Africa’s premiere television series ''Isidingo –The Need'' for three years, for which she was nominated Best Actress in the South African equivalent of The Golden Globes. She moved to New York in 2002 and has built a successful career there, with many leading roles at various theatres, including the Guthrie Theater, the Signature Theater, the Public Theater,  BAM, the Atlantic Theater, and The Chicago Shakespeare Theater. She has done guest appearances in TV series, narrates Audio-books (To date she has narrated upwards of 30 novels.) Bianca also works as a private acting coach.
