Bennie Gerber was a dancer, choreographer, singer, actor, director and set designer in Port Elizabeth's amateur theatre.

(Not to be confused with the younger Bennie Gerber, born 1985, who is a marketing director, choreographer and is involved in theatre marketing.

He is also actively involved in Port Elizabeth theatre.)

Biography

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

Directed and choeographed The Boy Friend, Salad Days.

1968: Directed, choreographed and designed the set for Irma La Duce

1968: Played the role of Charlie in Brigadoon for the Port Elizabeth Gilbert and Sullivan Society.

1974: Choreographer for the Collegiate School for Girls Centenary production of The Gondoliers.
