Benefactors by English playwright and novelist Michael Frayn (1933-*). A play about the contrasting natures of those who help and those who are helped; those who create and those who destroy. First staged in London in 1984 winning the Olivier Award for Best New Play before its Broadway premiere in 1985. First staged in South Africa in 1985 by Pieter Toerien, directed by Rex Garner and starring Richard Haines, Robert Whitehead, Fiona Ramsay and Vanessa Cooke.
