Benedictus Kok (18*-). Academic and actor.
Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance
As a student at the Grey University College in Bloemfontein, he was a member of the UKOVS Dramatiese Vereniging. He acted in D.F. Malherbe's play Meester, alongside Abraham Fischer and Malherbe himself.
He later became professor of Afrikaans and Rector (Deputy Vice-Chancellor) of the University of the Orange Free State.
