She trained at the University of Stellenbosch Drama Department.

Bea started in community theatre, working for Procare in the Western Cape. Her first professional theatre role was "Viola" in Twaalfde Nag (Oude Libertas/Baxter, 2005). She also played "Erika Kuschke" in the TV soap Egoli.
